It took a bit of work on my part but I got my crud head neighbors attention FAST. I tried talking to him twice about his 6 loose dogs, but he never took me seriously. One day I saw them in my pasture and dashed down to close the gate so they were trapped, then I waited until I heard him calling them. I let him call several times then from a speaker set up on my second story deck I played the sound of several fast gun shots and a dog screaming.
The sound freaked his dogs out and they all squeezed themselves under the gate, coating themselves with mud and slime in the process. By then their owner was running up the road shouting for them. They headed down and round so he didn't see them and he didn't dare come onto my property. His wife eventually started screechign for him.
I know another neighbor told him he would never see his dogs again if they ever came near his horses.
I haven't seen them loose since then and that's been months. I don't own a gun, mainly because I can't afford one.
