Ione, you can get that online in those sound effects websites.

Come to think of it...could you carry suede and Zane at the same time? Could any human

Actually, I may have to load Zane in a backpack so I had two arms with which to carry Suede, LOL.

No, she needs to move to Texas and live by ME! Cetawin, you better be careful you might find yourself in the middle of a tug-o-war.

Sorry, you guys. She will be my neighbor because I will give her free Suede babies.

And she can hold Suede anytime she wants, too. Top that one, LOL!

Seriously, I love her straight-shooting style (pun fully intended). We should all be so lucky to have a conscientious neighbor like Ladyhawk.

OK! I vote we all move next door to Speckledhen, that way we can all take turnes passing around the featherbutts!!

Cetawin, you were right to not grab the dog. I don't understand why people recommend grabbing a dog that's worked up and in a frenzy. I once tried to catch a neighbor's boxer, who had for the first time, gotten out. He wanted to play and aggressively. It was kind of scary because I'd never been in contact with this dog and was not sure what he would do. I think it's irresponsible to recommend to someone to catch a dog that has killed or has been trying to.

I'm sorry but it's obvious you have never worked in the school system. Parents for a few decades have not taught their children respect for others, not even teachers, bus driver, etc. The parents themselves are disrespectful too and don't support their children's school's staff. The bus route I drove was rough. One day my substitute driver had to deal with a mother that got on the bus with a metal pipe. She was going to deal with the kid who was "messing" with her kid. Her kid was the one that started the problem. She did this twice. The second time I was there and she was visited by the sheriff (long story). You'd be surprised at the number of people you just can not reason with!!! Oh, the stories I can tell.

Cetawin, you did the right thing, it had to be done and I'm glad you were not injured. IMO a dog that doesn't run away when yelled at is an attack waiting to happen and especially when hit by a brick!

About your GS, I've been chased by growling dogs and it's very frightening. I gave up riding my bike because of them. I know putting your GS down had to be the hardest thing. It would be harder to rest at night, had you not done it, and a child/anyone get bit or worse.
