Dog attack! (Graphic Pictures)

I just read through the updates and was shocked to hear she passed away. It was not your fault! You did so much to help her, you are amazing actually.
:hugs hang in there ! dont know if you believe in prayer but I do and I will pray for you many blessings come into your life now after so much sadness. I very sorry for your losses.

Thank you all.
I am terrible at raising chickens. I started with nine a year and a half ago and now I have four. I love these birds but am clearly doing something horribly wrong. The attack may not be my fault but the rest had assumed liver issues. On top of that, within this last year, my dog and cat passed away (tehey were older) and my husband left me and took my teenage son, who couldn't care less that I exist. I really wanted Clementine to survive, to finally get something right and be able to actually help her. I cannot seem to keep anyone.
Life is an experience that you get once, good, bad and the in-between. It's all about learning and understanding from the experience, whether you decide to improve on it or not.

Tragedies are not the end of the world, learn from it and move on. There's still another day to look forward too.

The care and time you spent on Clementine speaks so highly of your heart and dedication. Life can be rough sometimes, regardless of how hard you try. Please give yourself some of the compassion you showed to Clementine. Things will get better. ((hugs))

Please don’t forget all of us that cared deeply for your situation and Clementine. You are a good person who cared very much for your gravely injured girl and didn’t give up, when most people would have. That in itself speaks volumes for you and your character. FYI I picked up my “Pachino” (she has a bump on her beak like Al Pachino) and gave her some extra love this evening in memory of your Clementine. Pachino loved the attention and even closed her eyes as I scratched her neck and head. Needless to say, she wasn’t in too much of a hurry to get down. Today ends at midnight, tomorrow is a new day. Make it a good day! God Bless! 🙏🙏❤️

Ty. And I wish Pachino all the best! And you all!

Sometimes no matter what we do we still lose them, you did an amazing job with Clementine!

I'm sorry for such a bad year, geez Louise, sending you warm hugs! I'm glad that you still have four girls left. They're such a comfort to us, I hope they are to you 💗

I know this is an older post, was reading thru your story with the dog attack. I am so absolutely sorry for your loss. I want you to know you did what you could and I am almost positive she died from a blood clot. With the extensive injuries she had and being laid up for an extended period of time, a blood clot most likely is what caused the bruising and swelling in her leg then probably let loose into her heart or lungs.
Owning chickens has been the most heartbreaking and rewarding experience for me. Ive learned so much, i've cried a bunch and made many happy memories both past and in the making. Who knew we could love these little sweethearts as much as we do. In the end its all about the love, no matter how long or short their lives are.

Take care and keep giving the love to your sweethearts, they deserve every bit of it!
