Dog attack! (Graphic Pictures)

I am not sure but I keep these kind of bandages that self stick at home for chicken things, maybe you could find something similar at your local drug store or farm centre? maybe add gauze pads if needed? Hope others can chime in.

Aren't these things hard to remove? Like, in humans, gauze tends to stick to wounds and then you can't remove them without pouring water on them or something. I imagine that could be counterproductive in a wound like this one?

When I had an injured hen, I didn't cover the wound - but it wasn't as nasty as this one, so I'm not sure. I agree that she needs a vet ASAP because antibiotic ointments may not be enough and she may need shots and/or oral antibiotics. But I would wait on the euthanasia option - this is a complicated wound, but it is survivable.

How is she doing?
Somehow she seems to be doing well. I bathes her in chlorhexidine, applied vetericyn and Vaseline. She woke up and ate a small meal and drank on her own. I syringe fes her an egg just for the extra protein, mixed with nutridench and human vitamin vitamin A and Biotin. Figured that might help? Planning to give more Metacam later today too.

I ordered Aquamox to be delivered today. However, Everytime I've had a bird on an antibiotic, they've gotten sour crop. Advice?

I am still very, very open to advice. If I should start/stop something, please tell me. I thought for sure I would be putting her down or shed pass on her own but then she's actually up and moving around.

Help!

Advice? Can she survive this?
I've had many dog attacks in my years as a chicken owner and in my case, if they can survive the attack, I've healed them with this method. There is a purple iodine type liquid at Tractor Supply; might be "peck no more." Coat the entire wound with this. Reapply daily as needed for any part of the wound that becomes exposed. It should dry into a sort of cast, allowing the wound to heal underneath.
