Dog bite on 15 week old

You are doing a Great job. I'm so proud of you for your bravery of pulling that feather out. Boom done!
Betadine can be slightly harsh to the skin.
Hibicleans is great on human skin and can be a bit harsh on chicken skin.
Therefore, Chlorihexdine is the Veterinarians First Choice and that's the reason I said Chlorihexdine.
Load that Triple antibiotic oint into the wound.
Keep up the good work.

What do you recommend I do for cleaning?
Should I just do warm soapy water? Probably about as gentle as it gets?

Update:
The wound is looking significantly smaller today.
I’ve stuck with using the diluted iodine since the hibiclens has alcohol in it that just sounds horrible to have on your insides.
He is doing with being inside and wanted to break out last night to probably roost somewhere more off the ground.
I made him a little roost maybe 6” off the ground but that’s the best I’ve got!

Update:

Last night the wound looked really close to closed it’s about a big as my pinky now.
He’s been done with being inside and especially at night is very flighty and nervous.

This morning when I tried to get him out he bit me. I thought maybe since I just uncovered him I’ll give him some time. He bit me again.
I put on gloves and told myself I’ll get him now. And it still hurt through the gloves and he seemed determined to tear me to pieces.
I’m now offering an apple to try and create the peace but I’m not sure why he’s being so mean now 😢

I would just do your best to get him back outside. He might calm down then. But be the dominant one. Walk through him, not around him. Good luck!

I fed him some apples and he chilled out enough to let me grab him and do some work.
I’m thinking tomorrow he might be ready to go out I just really want it closed before he does. It’s so dusty here and I’m sure he will want a dust bath.
Our last bag of food sucked it was a lot of dust rather then food so I think he was hangry. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Update: Our boy is turning into a man.
Well Rooster.
He started crowing today.
I think this is why he is so snippy with being picked up as his hormones are now surging. His comb/waddles are very red and larger then when he first came inside.
Last night his wound was crescent shaped and some of the scab came off otherwise it might have been fully scabbed closed.
I didn’t remove the hanging scab but just applied triple antibiotic behind it onto the flesh. I’m hoping tonight we can let him back out with the flock when my husband gets home and he can coop up with everyone.
They have an automatic door that lets them out in the morning should I not leave him in tonight and let him out in the morning instead so I can monitor his reintegration to the flock??
He was at the bottom of the older flock when he was brought inside but he also didn’t hit puberty yet.

Update:
Wound is still looking great.
I was too chicken (LOL) to get him out this morning due to biting. But really I don’t blame him 🤷🏼‍♀️
he’s been under fluorescent lighting from 9-9 sadly because there is no way to have natural lighting for him. 😭 which a huge problem with this house actually.
anyways here’s tonight’s photo prior to triple antibiotic it’s looking great!
Husband thinks he should stay inside a few more days.
Should we wait til it heals closed and the scab falls off?
thoughts?
