They don't start to show until late in the pregnancy. You can have her tested in a few weeks by your vet. Almost all dogs have enlarged breasts within a few weeks, but that can be from a pregnancy or a false pregnancy.

If she is still spotting, then they may still tie themselves.

Im kind of doubting them becuz the b*tch still wont quit mounting the male (he will amost never stay near her now even after seperation. He just sniffs her rear and walk away, although I did catch them playing together yesterday) and even when ive put the male on her he wont stay on and probably couldnt becuz she wont stop squirming becuz she is still trying to get on him!

Update: Well I thought her flow had stopped early but I got her to wear a diaper today and she is still bleeding and it appears to still be a dark liquid

x 100 billion. All tips and info are still welcome. Thanks again.

Your male looks like a Pom X Chi, and he's what they call an ORANGE. Be prepared to perhaps have some whelping issues, I see a lot more leg and body on him than I do the female, and you may end up with large pups. If you haven't seen a successful tie, this may be a blessing in disguise. I would if I was going to breed the female, look for a smaller male. How small is the female anyhow?

The reason for this litter is to get pups that look like Faux . I just weighed them and the male weighs 5.5 lbs Mocha weighs 4.5lbs. I guess Faux is just leggy lol. Im have already planned emergency precations and have a couple different vets attached to the welping crate. She has also had a single accidental litter before I got her, the father weighed at least 10 lbs and she delivered those with no problems what so ever and those pups were HUGE. My mouth hit the floor when I saw that she had delivered those ones (one of my friends who breeds chis had her and I visited 3 days after Mocha had welped).

What is your goal in breeding your dogs? Sorry, not trying to cause a debate, but raising pups isn't always the way to go. The only reason to consider breeding is to improve an existing purebred line of dogs that have proven themselves in the show ring or in other breed specific venues (hunting or other sports). I don't have a problem with people keeping mixed breed mutts. I just wish folks would have them neutered/spayed. It's healthier for the dogs. I have one here that I love. He is a wonderful dog. He's also neutered. Our animal shelters are full of animals needing homes some purebreds. Hundreds die each day. If you want another puppy that looks like your male then it would be cheaper to buy one, or adopt one from a shelter. It costs a lot in time, vet bills, food, and care to raise puppies. You also risk losing your female and having to raise the puppies on your own. I know because it has happened to us. I have raised Bluetick Coonhounds for the past seven years. We only breed multi-champion dogs that meet breed standards and demonstrate hunting ability. We only raise one to two exceptional litters a year or two years. My pups are usually sold before birth. Any of my puppies that do not meet breed standard are sterilized. Again not trying to cause an argument, but want folks to see the other side of breeding. Amy

synoviaus im not entirely sure how to reply yo your post but all in all my friends want dogs that look like and are sired by Faux. I plan to fix my dogs after this. We just want the single litter and yes im well aware that dogs do live longer healthier lives after being fixed.

I'm sorry..i respect you and your breeding..(you seem like a good caring dog owner) but please understand that not everyone has to have a pure breed dog..not everyone can AFFORD to pay breeder prices..the good breeders that is. So how do you expect people to get good quality pups? when breeders charge us so much?? I think that if breeders want to improve their breed and spread the word about their breed then they need to come down on their prices. OR dont complain when we go for cheaper mixed breeds...
Again..just my opinion.. and even though i dont care for hound dogs, yours sure ARE adorable!

Also..its not right to judge someones personal choice in what they choose for a dog (mixed or pure..)...as long as the dog is loved and taken care of...
I'll say it again..adogisadogisadog...if it woofs and wags its tail and gives ya sloppy kisses after trying to eat the cat litter...its still a dog...papers or no papers...

I like that part.
Small cute puppies are in high demand. Everyone wants one for a pet. This litter, if it happens, would not have any problem finding homes even if there were six or eight of them. And these puppies are not "killing dogs in pounds". Apples to oranges. In shelters, the dogs are usually large which would not be appealing to the people who would want these type of small toy dogs. In shelter/pound situations the small cute dogs go fast. They are not a group in extreme danger unless they have medical or behavioral problems.
