All cat foods have taurine in them (without taurine cats have heart problems) so wouldn't a lot of taurine be bad for quail? Shouldn't people be feeding dog food to quail instead since not all dog food has taurine in it?

My turkeys cannot resist the dog feeders.

It won't hurt them. They just like the taste it appears you know you have a problem when the dogs start thinking the turkey food is for them LOL

Mine already have high enough protein in their diet, I just give them cat food because they like it so I'll feed dog food from now on then. Just in case the taurine might hurt them.

I know you were just being goofy but im a rambler soo...LOL....

their food is really bad for any animal actually (well the cat and dog food is, the cat food is actually better for birds than it is for cats more grains than meat)

Not to mention its food suppliers are the culprate for many deaths (tainted food) even after all the recalls still- my one birdie customers two boxers were killed reciently from ol roy from walmart- her dogs were obtopsied and results went to her and whoever ol roy co. is and it was proven it was the food. So I deffinatly dont put much trust in them. Wally world is easy access for people with their pets, and not everyone can afford the high quality stuff (from petco or online stores) so please dont anyone think im telling them they're horrible if they feed their cats or dogs that food.

Only thing I buy for my animals at wally world is cheapo catfood for the outside cats to suppliment their wild caught diet, I'd feed them my indoor cats food (and i do sometimes) but it gets disgustingly expensive lol! Cuttle bones and grit and sometimes parakeet millet as treaties.

Oh and fruits, veggies and greens.

I was feeding my quails cheapo cat food from walmart, but I started just about once a week taking a handful from my indoor cats feed (or canned food that came free with my indoor kitties food, and give that to them.

But mainly I boil up chicken e*ggs (ugh that annoying A Pril F ools crap on heres gettin ooollld lol) for em
