Sigh. Do you have an attorney? I fear, in order to file a civil lawsuit, you actually have to incur damages. This is stupid beyond stupid. It really begins to appear you may indeed have to take the Wild West approach to protect your property. I'm so sorry. Wth is the point of having a legal system (sheriffs, deputies, law enforcement officers) if they can't or won't enforce the law and/or protect people's property? I'm mad.

It may be a very good idea to train your dogs not to eat anything other than what you feed them, in their bowls.

I will lose more to an attorney than will be gained even if losses incurred. I'm too small in terms of value. I doubt they would consider stress cost to me and requirements for higher end fencing.

Alpacas were a consideration. Not sure if present yet or not though

I know sheep abort easily if stressed and ewes may themselves die if chased. Goats may not be quite so fragile, I don't know. I'm sorry, I'm getting quite indignant now. I'll go take a deep breath.

I am pretty sure that early on the dogs came over and consumed an entire bag of freshly opened dog feed. They knocked over a barrel.
