Dog proof run?

an electric fence, on just enough to zing the dog, place a long peice of chain from his collar, he will learn those boundries really quick and probably never need the wire on again. Labs are just big lugnuts that love to play! (I love them, but I swear ours was untrainable until she got to be 3! lol)

I agree with the zing part Spook! My dad has a 2 year-old, 135 pound chocolate lab that is nothing but a big ball of fun! He bounces around and plays like he's only 5 pounds. My dad was having an issue with him not listening (chasing the steers, deer, cats, etc...) and finally got him a shock collar. I think it only took Koda two times with that collar and he listens pretty darn well now! My dad doesn't leave it on him all of the time, just when he knows that Koda will have an issue listening. My dad says, all he has to do is clip that collar around Koda's neck and he knows he better behave, sometimes all he has to do is show it to him. I truly do believe that the electric fence would work, if you could get by with it in your yard.
