Dog thread!🐾

Pitbulls need people who understand the breed, they are a dangerous breed of dog with high chance of dog aggression that can easily end up biting children instead of dogs

with the right owner and breeding they are lovely dogs
I TOTALLY disagree, have you owned a pitbull? They are some of the sweetest dogs you can get, I think you’ve been misinformed unless you’ve owned a pit or pit mix, I guess you’ll never know

🤣 you just proved you don’t know what you are talking about. What where they bred to do?
also you don’t own a pitbull

Alrighty, y'all. I'm gonna butt in and try and clear this up. @Youngfarmer2019, *please* don't *leave* leave just yet. Being a bit of an outsider to the conversation that just happened, I want to kinda try and clean this up.

First off, as far as I can tell, nobody's actually mad at anybody else. I think certain people are more passionate than others and unfortunately having a written conversation can make passionate look like angry. Doesn't mean anybody is, it just means that it can cause problems. (Tip that I personally find helpful: LOTS of emoji will soften just about anything you say. šŸ˜‰)

Second, @Youngfarmer2019 isn't shaming anybody's dogs nor are the rest of you shaming hers. Y'all are sharing opinions. Sorta like I said I don't like little dogs. None of y'all got offended by that, even though some of y'all disagree. My personal opinion: maybe @Youngfarmer2019 shouldn't have said pitbull if she had realized it could be a problem, but, now she knows and she can make the decision not to in the future. The rest of y'all: I see no problem with mentioning your concerns with what she said. I agree with your concerns, actually, I personally would have just been a little more obvious that I wasn't judging.
People need to understand what kind, intelligent, sweethearts of dogs they really are😊
Amen, again, sister!
If the general public can’t take the time to educate themselves then our world is spiraling 🫤
It is.

Agreed, again. I have met a number of pits and pit mixes and they are the sweetest pups in the world. They have a bad rap and even the most balanced of people can get a bad impression.

In this case, I believe pit mixes count.

I do have issues with youngfarmers attitude, not too mention why I told them the maybe should not be on this thread

Pit bulls were bred as bait dogs, used to hunt bears and hogs. And I own a pit mix and have owned pits in the past
They where also bred as dog fighting dogs

I already told ya I wasn’t trying to have an attitude and I already apologized, so I’ll say it again, I am sorry. I get heated sometimes, as do all of us, but I never meant to have an attitude with anybody

Dogo Argentino were also bred for hog hunting. They are also dog selective. It comes with the territory of hunting something that could end you in seconds. AMPTS on the other hunt were also used in you know what. AMPTS, as the name suggests are terriers. As such, they do not always mesh well with other dogs. So for all reasons above, I think it's safe to say the pure AMPTS are not what you would call a dog friendly breed

Here are some cute dog pictures after all of that :th
