They are allowed to ask if it's a service dog and what tasks it's trained to preform. They also can kick out any dog, service or not, for being unruly or disturbing the peace.I walked by some weird lady with a gray cat sitting in the kid part of the cart and looking like royalty being wheeled through Wal-Mart. Almost every trip now I see some person with a dog. They aren't allowed to ask if they are service dogs. So ridiculous.

I wonder about the people with allergies, or the fact that there are dogs and cats in the grocery aisle, and in the carts. Can't be sanity, but I guess neither are peoples kids.It is ridiculous.
And technically they can ask what tasks they are trained to do. And if for say they say companionship they can be denied access. Tasks would actually be alerting to low/high blood sugars, space buffering, or deep pressure therapy.
But cats are a big no they arent protected under ADA rights
Although i know many with cat allergies including close family. If its a real service dog there isnt a issue. It is ridiculous.

AwwI thought long and hard about these pups, but I think that type of activity is probably not a good idea going forward. They are hard to resist, but I think something like a Shih Tzu is more my speed these days.

Then yesterday also i went into tractor supply to look for something and there was a overly confident barking /growling German Shepherd that was on a flexi lead.
The owner just laughing..
I understand that but thete are plenty of ways to let first responders know that someone needs to be contacted for the dog.Weak owners that look the other way when their dog is doing something it shouldn't be tick me off.
Here's a sad story.
I'm in the produce section at Wally World. I leave, then come back and there's a commotion going on. I see a woman maybe in her seventies with a very old Boston Terrier mix and she's holding onto something in a kleenex or paper towel (we all know what that might have been) and arguing... pleading... with the Walmart people saying, "If something happens to me, he'll be all alone".
I want to say the dog was wearing a service dog vest, too. But it was half a year ago.
But it's sad. And she was right. But that doesn't give her the right to take her dog into a grocery store and not monitor him better so he doesn't have an accident.
