Here she is! The humane society is saying she is a aussie mix but she almost looks pure. And the best part is the humane society is about 30 minutes away so not a far drive.

OK yall here's where I'm at with the dog breed thing. What I know: The less grooming, the better (I'll just have to part with snuggling with all that fur). Cavalier/whippet level activity. Ideally, could be a ratter. As for temperament, I like royal dogs, I like dogs with a good sense of humour, I like aloof dogs, I like all kinds of things. There's one thing I'm not a huge fan of. The crazy obedience per se that a mal would have, like always needs to be working, but the kind that is attached to your hip constantly. Am I even making sense?

Basically a dog with little grooming, a medium energy dog, and a loyal dog.

Yeah, basically. Although more so medium/low. And yeah, loyal at heart. Can be proud and independent at times, but I want it to really like me (I don't care about strangers )

What about a Boston or Rat terrier? Less “terrier like” than most terriers and loyal and cute and not too much energy. Or a shih Tzus or bichon? They can be shaved. Mini poodle?

Mini poodles are cute! Ive never actually met a boston or rat terrier. I have met one bichon she was nice. Ive had a bad experience with Shih Tzus.
My dads parents use to have full sized show poodles, the last one they had was a mini though.

Sorry you had a bad experience with Shih Tzus I’ve met a couple that were nice. Same with Bostons. Never met a rat though. And I loveeeeeee poodles LOL

Bostons I have considered, but since they aren't exactly capable of ratting, they're basically like a whippet, and u like whippets a little more. Rat terriers aren't recognised here, so they can't be shown, and there are probably zero breeders of them. The other three can definitely be shaved, but if I do so I will not be able to show them, which is something I'd really like to try out. I'm so picky
