I think they are confusing them with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Very different from King Charles Spaniels.

King Charles spaniels are definitely around in Aus but I don't know their popularity.

My take on doodles, is that personally I really like them, but would never buy one. At a dog park the other week, I met a really nice pair of them, so well behaved, lovely coats. If I was looking for another dog, and there was one in a rescue, I might well get it.
Although, I also really like greyhounds, and there are so many of them needing homes.

I also love Maremmas, we used to have a pair of them a long time ago

There’s a lot of doodles in rescues now and even exclusively doodle rescues so I don’t think you would have a problem finding one of you were ever looking lol

It's OK, I'm more of a toy and sighthound person. We each know our groups best!

Oddly enough, there never seems to be very many here.
When we were looking for our two dogs, there weren't any in our area, and when ever I've browsed the RSPCA website there hasn't been any.
I don't know why? There are heaps for sale on gumtree from BYBs.

Herding and LGD breeds have always fascinated me lol. Too much Abergynolwyn for a herding dog though. I'll enjoy them from afar
