Its more then struggling, I have been practicing her being calm for a long time now! I have a dog that struggles to calm down, she still sleptThis look like normal behavior to me for a field bred Springer spaniel. It's why I would never own one. They were pretty popular back in the 80-90's and most were crazy hyper dogs. They are bred to hunt all day, and seem to have troubles calming down especially when young. Might help to practice calm with her, but I think it's all normal.
That does not mean she should be constantly moving, not sleeping and collapsing from exhaustionThose dogs look like adults. Pikelet is still a baby.
She’s still a baby thoughThat does not mean she should be constantly moving, not sleeping and collapsing from exhaustion
Which means she needs sleep! And rest! She never stops running, she does not sleep at day! What you see in the video is how she is constantlyShe’s still a baby though
No one said you couldn’t train dogs? Not sure where you got that part from. But as a baby, she’s going to be more hyper. Not saying she couldn’t possibly also have something else going on but they are hyper dogs. Very hyper. Does she sleep at night? And puppies eat more anyway especially high energy ones like herWhich means she needs sleep! And rest! She never stops running, she does not sleep at day! What you see in the video is how she is constantly
She does not stop!
that is not normal or healthy
I have spent month’s training calmness the best I have gotten is the minute of fidgeting on the blanket. I own high energy and boisterous breeds, I have seen tons of videos of spaniels being calm, 8 weeks to adult . I have taken my 20 week old gsd into a food shop, I can train dogs!
if this is how a springer is supposed to act then malinois are low energy dogs
she only stopped running after 30minutes of running by collapsing for 7 minute and she did not relax or close her eyes! She got up when I did then continued running again
she is eating 600g of raw meat the same amount as my all most 40kg dog and more then my 35kg dog
They’re so cute!!!Tinsel: She is 5 years old, Pomeranian mix, I wanted to do agility with her but she went blind(optic neuritis) from vaccines at 1 1/2 years old. View attachment 3705516

Betsy: The vet said she was 8, saved off the euth list at the pound. she is 40 percent chow and 60 percent GSD, she has cancer and has lived almost 6 months past the vet expected. She is slowing down and we don't expect her to live much longer

Scout: He is 2-4 years old, saved off the euth list at the pound. He is VERY hyper and playful and loves to bug our other dogs. We think he is pitbull, ridgeback, and maybe heeler. View attachment 3705535
Bunny: 2 years old, saved from a hoarding case, loves everything except the door (bell or when it knocks) I want to do agility with her, but maybe when she is older and easier to train... View attachment 3705538
