What about Jack Russell terriers? I don't know much about energy levels though
I think I saw some being shared on Facebook that were in Australia, but they are pretty rare outside of the U.S. I've had two and they are great dogs.Rat terriers would be *perfect* but they aren't recognised anywhere outside the US, and there are probably zero breeders of them outside the states

They only were recognized by the AKC a few years ago. Wish they weren't. I enjoyed the variety of the breed, and the AKC always wants to standardize breeds. They had been a wonderful little type of dog. One made up of many breeds. There was a type A and type B, but now the AKC made the type B it's own breed called the Teddy Roosevelt, and to me by the bigger bone structure it looks like they crossed in some jack Russel. They definitely are. Not recognised, unfortunately. Closest thing to them could be a toy Manchester? Maybe?
Get them from the proper strain/family and you won't have to worry about that.I love beagles, just dont like the barks![]()

Relatively high energy, but far less than the terrier breeds. How are they energy wise?
