Dog thread!🐾

My name is Sarah. Mom and dad grounded me. I'm almost 2 and a Border Bull.
I'm grounded because I won't quit growling at my sister Maggie (3 days. I have repeated ly attacked her for no good reason.

Can any one suggest how to help me be less mean to sister?
Is sarahs sister new? If so make sure they are seperated. Muzzle train sarah. Slow introductions are best.
Move their crates away from one another(separate rooms if possible).

If they have been together for over a year then it might help to re introduce them how you would a puppy and a adult dog.

They have been together since Sara was 8 weeks. Maggie has been with us for 7 years. She is 9. The have moments of angst sporadically. The last 3 or 4 days have been bad. Sara is very gentle with every one and every thing except Maggie.

I put her in the kennel because my patience is thin.

So just a recent behavior change. Has your routine changed a lot over the past month?
Is there anyway you can have Sarah in one room and Maggie in the other with a gate in between?
Definitely seperate kennels right now.

Do you notice the fights when playing? Or is it certain times, treats, food?

Additional info:
These two often go into the kennel together and refuse to be separated. They share a feeder and rarely squabble about food. They have separate kennels and only spend time when we leave. Maggie has separation anxiety and will destroy the house if left out.
The only other thing that happened was Maghie had dual ear infection and had a vet visit. Sarah was home alone for the first time. (8/19)

How old is Sarah? Unfortunately she might just be coming into adulthood as some bully breeds tend to be dog aggressive and/or same sex aggressive.

Sarah will be 2 November 21
So about the right age for that.

Based on this ⬇️ could also be littermate syndrome which can and does happen even in non littermates. It’s any extremely closely bonded dogs.

First seperate kennels dont allow them to kennel together. They need seperate food bowls.

And if she is reaching age of maturity they often change as their hormones do.
