Dog thread!🐾

Brew and I need to start doggy boot camp for a while LOL

He needs work on his manners like not lunging (and crying) at people and dogs even if it’s just to say hi.

Not lunging at SQUIRRELS.

And probably most importantly, not lunging at CARS!

That last one is a fairly recent thing where when he sees a car, he will try to walk out into the road and/or lunge at it. And it’s not every car I’m pretty sure so idk why it’s some cars and not others. Today’s car was white which so is one of our cars so idk if he thought it was Gramp’s car? But it was a totally different size, shape, make, everything and plus their sense of smell is amazing so that shouldn’t have been it. I just don’t know. But I have to stop it. I reeled him in tight and told him NO! in a stern voice but not yelling obviously and thankfully he sat down on his own. So that’s good. But yeah.

Edi can do the same. I switch it up all the time now to give her brain some real challenges. She learns a new game within hours and seems proficient at it by day three, as long as my cues are consistent. I set the bin up so she has to run around it and catch the ball on the bounce. I do this around trees, ppl and her mate Hodge as well. Sometimes I pretend to throw so she runs off, then has to wait in place for the signal to return for the ball on the bounce. If I'm using the ball on a rope, she will fly like the wind to snatch the outheld ball. I'm exhausted coming up with new challenges for this dog lol
Tucker is the smarter one for challenges. Denver is smarter for her tricks.
No puzzle stops Tucker 🤣. And no challenge so i know how you feel.
