Awwwww
They are studying a whole new species - a 3-legged human (man using a crutch) - on the walking path lol.Awwwww
Oh wowThey are studying a whole new species - a 3-legged human (man using a crutch) - on the walking path lol.
Dogs will 'discrimate' every day if something they see everyday looks a bit different. The man using the single crutch is not an everyday sight. Skateboarders, scooters, windsurfers, etc are all normal sights. When they first saw kids swimming they started barking because they had not seen a child without a body. The children thought it was funny when I told them and were great trainers, showing the dogs they still had their bodies lolOh wow

Great work, Shrek! You did the best thing by increasing the distance to keep Brew below his reaction threshold - this is when the real training happens for the dog as they can think clearly on the job at hand / walking with you.Walked Brew twice today. Lots of interesting stuff on our second walk LOL
First of all, there was a dog behind us. Brew was pretty good but kept looking back and crying and/or just stopping and staring at first but I made him keep moving instead of sniffing like usual until there was some more distance between us and them and then he was fine lol
Second of all, there was someone shrink wrapping a boat. Flame thrower thing and all. Made really weird noises. And of course emitted flames. Surprisingly, Brew did not care one single bit LOL In fact, on the way back, he stopped to sniff for quite a while right in front of said boat with all that going on.![]()
So yeah.
Thanks!!!! And he’s been doing a lot better lately too because previously he probably would have been lunging and wailing and absolutely refusing to budge LOL I think he might have stood of his hind feet maybe once at first, I’m not sure, I can’t remember exactly, but it wasn’t like lunging. It was like curiosity. And he cried a little bit and looked back some but he was willing to move forward.Great work, Shrek!
