Dog thread!🐾

I do use a slip lead. Got mine at a local pet store. It has held up and still is. I dont know what brand it is though but i love it.
That’s awesome!! Mendota makes a slip lead in a couple sizes and widths. I also bought this one which is obviously really expensive but worth it because it doesn’t slip everywhere/get loose like some. But the Mendota is great too and a lot cheaper hahah

Have any of you heard of color coding the leashes/collars for dogs?
Tucker is nervous around meeting new people and barks at other dogs because he gets so excited he wants to play. He wont bite but he will bark.
So apparently you can color code their collars/leashes
Like red means aggressive and do not approach/pet
Then yellow can mean up for adoption or nervous
Blue is for in training for a service dog or special task
Orange is for training on a behavioral issue or has a behavioral issue.
White is for deaf/blind dogs.
So i was thinking about orange for him as im working on his issue. He just hasnt liked many people since the beginning but he falls in love with little kids and always wants attention from them, he thinks by barking is the best way to get it.

That’s a good idea!

Hmm, it's a very nice idea, it just depends on the fact that everyone knows about it

Thats also what i was thinking most people dont know. I was going to get a harness that said dont approach but then people think they are mean. I just dont want him to get super nervous to the point he bites someone. So maybe a tag on his leash that says ask to approach. My aunt has a pit mix that has a harness that says do not pet because of a incident that happened. We were going to get orange collars for him anyway for hunting.
