Dog thread!🐾

We have a herbal (I think) calming thing called rescue remedy, not sure if you can find it but it works really well. We have given it to Fanta a few times for car trips, it helped her relax in the car, it might help Tucker depending on why he is car sick

He also does the the abused dog face 🤣

We were going to ask the vet for something. Also apparently he throws up after eating anything cold like a piece of ice now.

Twiggy's face🤣

I've used rescue remedy before, I've heard some people say they think it makes them worse?
Best results I've had for car trips, for my majorly anxious dog, was with a thundershirt. She doesn't travel much though cause I don't find the stress worth it, we only go to vet visits.
Ive thought about the thundershirts just not sure how good they work.

My dog is one of the more extreme cases of anxiety so I find it hard to gauge how much it actually help. Car travel was one of the few things I did notice some difference with. She used to just sit and non-stop whine, with it she may still whine here and there but it's no longer non-stop the whole trip.
She always wears it at the vet but personally I haven't seen a noticable difference there.

A local store sells them. I should try one!

We took Denver and Tucker on a truck ride again today! Tucker had been getting sick on rides to training sessions. And since we will be making a 2 hour trip in 20 days we have been working on it. Good thing we are taking our camper which he is associated with! He didnt get sick this time. But he was super anxious. It helps if the windows are open as the air changes. We need to go get some heartworm for them. So we will be going to take him into the vet to be weighed again. Then talking to the vet about the trip as we want him calm on the ride up and back.
My Luna is an anxious dog and she gets sick in the car and has separation anxiety. I give her generic Dramamine (NOT the non-drowsy stuff) for car rides and she hasn't thrown up in the car since. For separation anxiety Zesty Paws Calming liquid has worked great along with long walks before we leave, etc. No more panicking, barking, and panting. AND it doesn't bother her very sensitive stomach.

Do you think it would help with leash reactivity and crating? Along with training of course
