Yeah. Most of those will be the first ones to go, especially the mental ones. Not sure how hand in hand they are, mental and physical stimulation

Yeah that makes sense. Some of them it goes hand in hand and sometimes not.

My theory (I could be completely wrong too) is that some of the mental stimulus at least could come from being one of multiple dogs, and them interacting. So like one dog wouldn't get as much since it's alone, where as 2+ would have some stimulation at least just being dogs with each other

I think that’s pretty fair and they’d probably need less than an alone one but still would need some. But mental stimulation also doesn’t have to be anything crazy either. It can be something simple like a chew toy/bone/whatever or a puzzle feeder bowl or puzzle toy. You can get different pattern bowls or toys to mix it up. Or something like a sniffari walk where you let them sniff everything even if it’s for five minutes. It doesn’t have to be trick and/or obedience training or anything super intense though it can be. Also if you’re on acreage then running around the property sniffing things or hunting critters or whatever those dogs do is great stimulation and exercise for them. So they would need a lot less than a city dog would. It’s all about getting creative. It’s not necessarily hard to stimulate them.

Ahh okay that makes sense! Even just running around the fenced portion would be a lot of exercise. Though they’d probably still need walks or fetch or something.

I wouldn’t consider the mental stimulation, playing with other dogs is more physical then mental. The dog doing anything counts as some level of mental stimulation but most of the time when a breed says it needs mental stimulation it means they need frequent training, some sort of work or sport

all dogs will need some level of mental stimulation like kong, etc and sniffy walks but some need more (like training, work sports) then that a few times a week at least

A lot of the dogs on your list are not ones I would trust around other animals or off leash in a unfenced area

my dogs get quite a bit of exercise just running around the property but they also do a lot of training and training outings (not including Twiggy and Lulu)

Chihuahua, for both personalities and looks.
Dachshunds, probably mostly has to do with looks...

Chihuahuas are one of my least favorites. But i really dont like dogs under 20lbs as i have had bad experiences with them. And they are to small for my liking
