I'm SO glad I don't have to deal with burrs here! They were bad in NM .

To remove burrs without hurting the dog or damaging the coat, take the fur out of the burr, instead of trying to pull the burr out of the fur. When you pull on the burr, the fur or hair just tightens in it. If you hold on to the burr and sort of pull hairs out of it, you'll make progress much quicker and less painfully.

I’m not sure if we have them here or not. But Brew is short coated so I wouldn’t know either way

Our labs still got those burrs and sticker things it was horrible. But longer coated dogs are worse. We have them everywhere here.

Oh yes. Since our labs were pheasant trained every pheasant hunt they had to be groomed and every little burr and sticker was extremely hard to get off.

I like taking the time to REALLY groom my dogs, I see too many GP around here with mats a foot long hanging off their tail (so many mats they can no longer raise their tail) mats so big behind their ears that they can no longer hear.
