I’m glad I have a short coated dogTo remove burrs without hurting the dog or damaging the coat, take the fur out of the burr, instead of trying to pull the burr out of the fur. When you pull on the burr, the fur or hair just tightens in it. If you hold on to the burr and sort of pull hairs out of it, you'll make progress much quicker and less painfully.
