That poster is very true. she is def going to take a little more work, but i dont mind one bit.
i will tackle these questions a few at a time
he has turned off his ears both at home and outside.
she has come a very long way on her own and we're very proud of her. She just seems so bored a lot of the time. I want to keep her engaged without overwhelming her but dont know how except for teaching tricks(ish). When the weather is better i make them stay out for a while. Thats where she keeps most of the toys anyway![]()
are you doing training sessions with only one at a time? If not then thats one place to start both at once. Cant really separate them
the other things you could try
-settling together
teach them to go to their beds, separately at first. Then do it with both dogs together (You can separate them with a gate at first)
trying to do that with lots of things: leash, out the house and car, in the house/car, etc
-if you have a extra person you can try going on a walk with both dogs, the aim would be that they sniff and ignore each other this they do pretty well with, until its just me walking them. I now let them in the yard first, then walk
-play with the dogs when they are together and when they aren’t separating them is difficult as the other feels left out. Schedules have us at home one at a time or not at all
-treats every time the pay attention to you when they are together try to, but my fingers pay for it. They get very overexcited
you might need to do these things with 1 dog at a time then try with both
I hope this helps!
