Dog thread!🐾

She's ELEVEN?! She looks four years old! My Boxer was SO gray by then. All of your dogs are amazing and adorable! I'm always so impressed when people have more than four dogs at once. They all get along well?
And I'm sorry about your other Aussie. :(
My first boxer died at 10 from cardiomyopathy. My second I put down at 9 because of cushings. When Rosie made it past 10 I knew everything after was a bonus. I am impressed by her lack of gray too. I was told her grandma lived to be 13, so I'm hoping she will be around a while longer. She is on daily pain meds as she has lots of arthritis, and also is anaplasmosis positive which we manage.

My dogs do all get along. I'm good at speaking, and reading dog language.

The other Aussie has been a diabetic for 2 years. She's recently gone blind. Her coat won't grow back in either. She's still happy, but it makes me sad. She's only 10. She is show bred and has had lots of health problems. The first show bred Aussie I had was the same. Show bred have the best personality, but physically can be a mess.

Oh wow that’s so interesting!!
My Aussies have been the worse for separation anxiety. Pepper is still in a crate when we leave or else she will tear everything up. The bulldogs generally are good after 8 months to stay out.
Mine has trouble with loud noises, every new year, she is panicked out of her mind cos of all the noise, I now spend the night with the dog in the basement, she gets some egg nog to help calm her down, her sister died 3 years ago cos she panicked when she heard the fireworks, so she jumped the fence, ran onto the highway and was run over by a car 😢 every time she hears a shot she gets panicked too 😬 her buddy has the same problem! But no separation anxiety 😅

I'm sorry. It is always so sad when they get old and sick. My Boxer lived to 14 years and one month. He was pretty active until the end. He was still going even with congestive heart failure, frequent seizures, and many tumors that the vet refused to remove because of placement and how sensitive Boxers are to anesthesia. He eventually lost use of his back legs and we said goodbye.
