I did say it wasnāt necessarily the best route for getting a ESA but I can see how it can be misreadYeah but it seemed like you were saying it was a horrible route and not to do it at all

Ah I see. I guess I mustāve misread it or something then. Although personally I donāt think rescues are a bad option but theyāre definitely not for everybody.I did say it wasnāt necessarily the best route for getting a ESA but I can see how it can be misread![]()
I probably wouldnāt tell people about the behaviour issues, etc of recuse dogs if the rescues where more honest and gave people better information/helpAh I see. Ah I see yeah, they can be annoying. But some arenāt at all. Like they didnāt even do a home check for Brew and our fence is not 6 feet. I think they waive it for certain dogs too. idk.I probably wouldnāt tell people about the behaviour issues, etc of recuse dogs if the rescues where more honest and gave people better information/help
I mostly see people who donāt have enough experience or knowledge getting pushed to rescue a dog, sometimes it works out but when it doesnāt it can be really awfulI wouldnāt be able to rescue anyway even if I wanted to because I donāt have an area fenced off with 6 feet fencing
the way rescues behave is something that frustrates me a lotI kind of want to work with rescue dogs but not the people

So pretty!!I bought my dog at 7 weeks ( it was kind of early, but the weather conditions were worsening, and them I couldnāt have picked her up for weeks) , she would have also charged me every extra day I couldnāt pick her up, not from a licensed breeder, butā¦she gave me a copy of the papers of both father and mother, and it was her 3. time breeding them together, she gave me contacts of the owners who had purchased pups from previous litters, and now my dog is already 6, Iām still in contact with her, and she also gave me advice whenever I needed it

Exactly!!! And you said it much more succinctly than I could have.If you get a puppy from a rescue that's the sane age as one you'd buy then it shouldn't have any more behavior issues then a puppy you buy from a breeder. That said I totally understand wanting to get a pup from a breeder but it's not fair to diss rescues.
Heās gorgeous!!! What breed?I bought my dog at 7 weeks ( it was kind of early, but the weather conditions were worsening, and them I couldnāt have picked her up for weeks) , she would have also charged me every extra day I couldnāt pick her up, not from a licensed breeder, butā¦she gave me a copy of the papers of both father and mother, and it was her 3. time breeding them together, she gave me contacts of the owners who had purchased pups from previous litters, and now my dog is already 6, Iām still in contact with her, and she also gave me advice whenever I needed it

No because genetics have a lot too do with it, puppies are not blank slatesIf you get a puppy from a rescue that's the sane age as one you'd buy then it shouldn't have any more behavior issues then a puppy you buy from a breeder. But itās definitely less likely to have issues if you raise it yourself is their point. Bashing rescues does no good. People are still going to adopt them.No because genetics have a lot too do with it, puppies are not blank slates
its for the same reason why you donāt except a golden retriever to herd or a border collie to naturally retrieve
and some like aggression only show up as the dog matures
