Your idea to scope it out is good. Some vet offices are happy to just text you if you prefer to wait outside and avoid any kind of dog drama.

Thanks! That’s a good idea tooYour idea to scope it out is good. Some vet offices are happy to just text you if you prefer to wait outside and avoid any kind of dog drama.
Oh gosh lol yeah I totally get what you mean about some not being comfortable around larger dogs cause some aren’t comfortable around pits either and some think even Brew is large lolWith the jumbo breeds, it's not even usually about me and my dog it's about some people who are not comfortable around them. And then there is also being "red listed," it's not such a bad thing, you get special treatment, haha.
If you are nervous he will pick up on it. Best to just be relaxed. Don't do any of that comforting which reinforces bad behaviors. I mostly ignore my dogs and sit quietly with them when at the vet.He hasn’t been in since they neutered him so I’m hoping he doesn’t hold a grudge LOL
He is so handsome!I posted this puppy about a year ago. Here's an update. Still a pup, lol! 15months old. He's sooooooooooooooooo sweet!Lowenhohle's Fancy Bodhisatva.

Awe, thank you. We think so too, he's just a huge goof ball and I hope he never grows out of the little tuft of hair that sticks up on his head.He is so handsome!

Thanks guys. Super helpful. And I definitely don’t do the comforting stuff. If anything I tell him no/correct it when he’s going bat shiz lol or just leave and redirect. The clinic staff likely want to avoid any problems as much as you so I'm sure they'd be happy to discuss things like waiting outside. A few of mine don't like bigger dogs, as we only have littles, so we just wait out the front or in the car if it's super busy.
