Oh, absolutely! We got the biggest of the litter, and both Goldens and Shepherds can be HUGE.He's still young, he's probably going to grow till 1.5 years. He's gonna be a big boy for sure!

Thats awesome! A good traveler is such a blessing, willow is great for travel (she sleeps through most) Oakley is a tad more anxious but also pretty goodHe went on a 2.5 week, 3,700 mile, 50hr road trip with us. We got home yesterday. He was absolutely amazing for the entire trip! He whined once - once in the car because he needed to pee and we had stopped for gas. He was a perfect gentleman in the car and met several new dogs with very different personalities - all of which he did great with! He slept in five hotels, and three different houses, and only had one accident when he got confused because he had just learned about fake grass... It didn't help that they put us on the fourth floor and insisted we hadn't asked for a pet room (the booking line didn't inform them despite my husband mentioning it several times). He LOVED it all, and it was great. He discovered the Great Lakes! Turns out he absolutely ADORES water, which isn't too surprising. He spent a few hours chasing the water hose and splashing in the kiddie pool at my In-laws'. It was great. He also got to see a cat for the first time. She froze, stared, and twitched, so he growled. Apparently he didn't growl at either of the cats there after that. Watching him interact with other dogs was helpful for me, too!
They never end here. Even when the ticks are dormant I'm treating dogs for tick diseases.Found the first tick of the season and it wasnt on the dogs thankfully. But i spent 40 minutes searching them for ticks
Isn't that because Lyme, etc. can be chronic? They never end here. Even when the ticks are dormant I'm treating dogs for tick diseases.
Chronic, and they can get reinfected. Some are on a maintenance dose. Those have anaplasmosis. The lymes seems to clear easier, but not always. Plus there's other diseases they don't even know about.Isn't that because Lyme, etc. can be chronic?
Im sorry. Tick diseases are horrible. They never end here. Even when the ticks are dormant I'm treating dogs for tick diseases.
I've learned how to manage this and thankfully have a vet that trusts that I know when they need treatment. I'm not sure what I will do if he retires. We seem to be tick disease central here.Im sorry. Tick diseases are horrible.
