Dog thread!🐾

Nope, I'm 1,200 miles away. They wouldn't stop me or anything though, if I did walk in and go "I'm confiscating her".
My dad's got work and is usually asleep by over an hour ago, and my mom, while being a night owl, is borderline agoraphobic for anything further than 15 minutes from our house and is scared of driving a) alone, b) at night, and c) anywhere near anything that resembles a city, and the ER vet is in a big city. It's not like they don't want her to get seen, they just don't have a sense of urgency for these things.

Definitely not an option

She is doing well this morning! As well as a dog could be after that, at least.
My dad reported her standing and giving him a tail wag greeting earlier this morning, and my mom later sent a video of her walking around outside on leash. My mom also said she even gave the cat a tail wag. Walking gingerly, bandaged up, but able to move with just a bit of a limp, and was able to get herself up and down the porch steps. Went to the bathroom with no problems. She has a vet appointment in a few hours.

Somehow lost this thread. Skipped the last 14 or so pages.

I need to rant a little
But ive been doing more and more research on somethings and more observing with Tucker. Towards a few smaller dogs like corgis, he is happy and i think he wants to meey them. He also did this to a boston terrier, tail wagging fast and little barks and whines. But when it comes to dogs his size or bigger he barks, lunges and his hackles are raised, his tail moving very slowly but still wagging.
If we can go on multiple walks without reactions, then it seems as if he is super happy to go on walks. Our last few he hasnt reacted. Also people, he wont react unless they start coming towards us. The other night some lady stopped to watch us training and then started walking closer. He was going to react but i kept him moving. We can work with people in our distance. And he has let a few people pet him. Its really limited. the one a friend of mine, he reacted when she turned away from petting him. I think somehow he associated people coming towards him as another dog coming towards him. As people always walked towards him to grab their dogs.

And again i was told by someone that neutering him would make it all go away. But in my opinion ive seen/heard of reactive dogs being neutered and them becoming more aggressive and actually biting or becoming so bad they were euthanized. So he wont be being neutered. Unless medically needed. Honestly i dont even want Denver spayed but i dont want pyometra and cant get to vet for a OSS.

And the last thing i am beyond glad i use a backup between his collar and harness as he broke his leash and thats he only thing i had stopping him from running towards a trigger.

Do you tense up when you see bigger dogs? He may be picking up on that. Our dogs tend to feed off our feelings.

Yeah I definitely wouldn’t neuter him. I don’t know what to say really. You do pretty much everything I would do. Maybe he just needs more time as well as exposure. He is about two right? Chase calmed down immensely between 2.5 and 3. He really never reacts now. (For the most part he hasn’t been around a ton of people, I’m sure he would if he was). But I know I’ve already said that several times
