Dog thread!🐾

It's been rainy for most of the day, so JƤger stayed inside. He was very good being stuck in his crate all day! Only problem he had was some communication confusion between him and hubby. Husband isn't tuned into body language, so he was accidentally telling the dog to pay attention to him instead of go potty. šŸ˜‚ He's outside now, finally. He seems unsure of what to do with himself, lol.

Three dogs walked by and I stopped and sat him down because I knew he could trip me or cause their dogs to freak and trip them. So we stopped. But at first we were walking towards them. He is crying and crying. Then I get him to sit but when they got closer and passed he is up and lunging, crying, barking. He never usually barks but has started occasionally doing it at certain dogs. But I managed to get him to sit briefly in between all this but he would get up again. And they were like ā€œhe’s a lotā€ and I was like ā€œyeahā€ and then one of their dogs was lunging too. Brewster only wants to play but it is still completely UNACCEPTABLE. Also this bark was slightly different than his high pitched excited bark so he might’ve been trying to protect me from THREE STRANGE DOGS too. IDK. But he did his high pitched one too mixed in and wasn’t growling or anything so I really don’t think it was that but who knows. But at least we didn’t try to keep walking and have him trip me up. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø oh and usually he always has his e collar on lately but I thought ā€œwell, I haven’t been using it lately anyways even when it’s on and last time it didnt even work so I dont need it.ā€ Yeah… well… he should’ve had it on. And I think it would’ve worked this time. Oh well. At the beginning of the walk he saw a squirrel and was pulling hard. THEN! He saw another squirrel almost home and was literally choking himself WALKING ON HIS HIND LEGS to get to it. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø that one was my fault because I saw it way up the street before him and told him squirrel over and over so he was looking for it and already WAY hyped when he saw it LOL but still.
Reactivity is a miserable situation for both dog and owner. This is not why we get a dog. It's also bad news for your ligaments. Maybe some tips in this vid will help. good luck! :) :)

Took Tucker on a walk last night. His paw is healing and he was rambunctious. No dogs and no reaction. I stuck to the mainly dog free route. I know of which dogs could possibly be out and its around a kids park so nobody lets dogs offleash. I just need to find a way to get down to the other park without walking a highway or near offleash dogs.
Denver doesnt but does enjoy walks. She only likes to go a certain way and then home.

Yes, I can't believe it. And just six weeks until I'm in the third trimester! He seems to be measuring on the large side, so hopefully he isn't TOO comfy in there. šŸ˜‚ We got ultrasounds and he has his dad's nose. 🄹View attachment 4219464
Can't see it too well, lol. But still, perfect cute little face. 🄰🄰🄰

Oh yeah, I definitely hope I don't have to be induced late or go early for any reason. šŸ˜…šŸ˜‚ I hear those labors are a lot harder than natural ones. The hormones they give you can make your contractions a lot more painful.
Yes, I can attest to that. Then my nan told me she was in labour for tjree days with my uncle And went to the local midwife's cottage by horse and buggy. I had to beat that, so then I winged two breech births; one footling and one bottom first. lol

I just now spotted that typo in that post, oops  One year.
A beautifil looking pup. Whippet? I've missed the history.. can you fill me in?
Tenterfield terrier.
He came to me a year ago very underweight/emaciated and anemic. We headed to the vet immediately the day after to get a baseline etc. Not been able to pinpoint why he struggles to gain/hold weight or why he tends to have an abnormally low heartrate.
He's due for his needles and a recheck on a cough he has right now. Otherwise he's one of the sweetest, most amazing dogs ever and has come a very long way
