Luna is scheduled for knee surgery..... She will have to be on crate rest for weeks and restricted exercise for two months.

My oldest dog had a knee repair a few years back. The time passed pretty quickly. I put a wire crate out on the porch, so she could see us when we were outside, and I walked her on a leash. She doesn't handle pain well so she was pretty cooperative. Hopefully your dog heals quickly and takes it easy.

Thanks. Even though she is a low-energy couch potato, she is only 6 so I am still worried about her getting restless. She also came to us with a fear of being locked in the crate so I hope this doesn't ruin her progress.

Mine was 7. Hadn't been in a crate since 1 year of age, and she did okay. Can she just be confined to a smaller room perhaps if a crate is too stressful?

I might try that if she doesn't do well in the crate. But, crate or not, she will be stressed out not being able to follow us around the house.

Brew did well on his walk LOL no doggies but lots of potential triggers and/or new to him things but he ignored all of it! LOL

Took Chase on a walk and somehow ended up holding a sign in a bake sale

Chase did great though! That is the most people he’s been around in 2 years. I was nervous he’d react at first but he was completely calm the whole time. No growling or barking!

You’re not nervous about having him loose all these places though? I would be. Brew would be gone. LOL
