Dog to be euthanized UPDATE: Euthanasia went BAD (pg 3)

I'm sorry for the loss of your dog. About 6 months ago we made the same decision to euthanase ours because he had diabetes. It is never easy and I applaud you for acting so maturely not selfishly. You are doing what is best for your dog. Sending my best wishes

I know this is hard and I just went through it with Merlin. I barely made it out of the vets and sat and cried in the car.

However when you consider all the animals in the shelter waiting to be loved, ask yourself this. Where would they choose to live? I just know they would choose to be with you over where they are now.

Making the decision is the hardest part. I am not saying that it will not be difficult at the time, but it sounds like you are doing the right thing. I always try to tell myself quality over quantity is best. Just make sure you take the time to focus on all of the joy and happiness that your dog has brought you over the years. As I write this I think of the pets that I have put down and I get a catch in my throat and a tear in my eye and think about how great it was to have each and every one of them. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
