Of course I have fun torturing the neighborhood cats

Be sure you have a solid STOP command to go with this! My Golden would chase stray cats off our property and he was going after one once when it ran across a dirt road just as a truck came barrelling down same road. I hollered DOWN and heard him skid to a stop just as the truck roared past in front of him. Whew! That command saved his life. I tell you my heart was in my throat till the dust cleared, I called him to me, and I saw that he was fine.

OH OH OH I ABOUT BLEW IT RECENTLY. That little bastard. I was walking with Chase in a loose heel and the cat that killed runt literally ran up to us puffed up and spat at us. His owner was close by so I couldn’t release the demon (Chase) HE SO KNEW IT. HE WAS LIKE NAH NAH NA BOO BOO MOMMY IS HERE. I was FUMING. Little idiot. He is lucky Chase knew not to break his heel and mommy was watching or Chase would have had a lot of fun.

I do! As I said here I had to recall him before he caught the cat

I had to call him off because he would have caught it.

Yeah I have a similar story I was throwing his frisbee and it went into the road right as a big delivery truck came by. If Chase hadn’t have recalled when I called him he would have no doubt been hit. A solid recall is the most valuable thing to teach
