Yeah, there’s a legit dog park in my town too but you’re right, people just talk LOL there’s even benches. And one time, when it first opened, my brother and SIL and I or maybe just SIL and I took their first dog there and there was an aggressive one running around chasing everyone and I think it even pinned her down. It even chased one up onto the table. We left after that LOL cause all they did was grab it and hold it and be like calm down, *name*, calm down or “you Need to calm down.” I think it even ran up to the fence and was barking or growling at a kid on someone’s shoulders. They should have had the common sense to LEAVE but they didn’t so instead, we did and we never went back LOL it might be better now though. IDK. This was years ago. And I know some people who take their dogs there and have no issues or minimal issues so I think it IS better now but I’m still not risking it LOL

I saw a video that said taking your dog to a dog park is like taking your 12 year old to a prison rec yard they explained it more but yeah

*Sigh*, I wish I could be contributing to the dog stuff right now! He is SUCH a jumper, but he's way too big to be doing that to me while pregnant. I *can* push him down on the ground if necessary, but it's more physical effort than I should be exerting this close to the third trimester, and I don't want him to plant a paw on my tummy with his whole 70+ish lbs and give me reason to worry... There are so many things I'd love to do with him.
Like, I'd love LOVE to let him loose in the house but he is huge and doesn't know it, so he's literally a wrecking ball to anything he walks by. And his mouth still goes for EVERYTHING. And there are countless small things I'd like to go back to practicing, like basic good manners, but he gets excited and jumps on me randomly. Huff.
