As a puppy, sure, hes eaten paper but its just paper; cupcake wrapoers, baking paper after chicken nevks were baked etc.

But.

Paper vs roast beef. He made a choice and now brings me paper from the bin in exchange for roast beef. He also removed the fittings from milk cartons and drinks any remaining milk, then brings me the carton for a reward. In this way I dont have to worry about stuff he finds in any environment. He is a chronic scrounger and it would be an exhausting neverending battle preventing him from investigating stuff he finds. Plus it gives him a highly enriching experience ripping up stuff that doesnt mean anything to me lol.
