Doh! Ran out of chicken feed...

So, I knew I was almost out of checken feed, so I go to the feed store today. 20 minute drive with 2 kiddos...
Forgot my debit card! DOH!

So.. I have about 1/2 the amount of feed they need for the day.. what else can I feed them to hold them till I can run out to the feed store again tomorrow?

in my experience, they eat just about ANYTHING.

Any leftover meals in the fridge you need to dispose of?? I've given mine cat food before when I've run low on chicken feed.
Hate it when it happens but it sometimes does!!

I have had that happen too. Leftovers! Just see this as an opportunity to clean out your refrigerator. I had a whole shelf of frozen trout in my freezer. I boiled it all up and gave that to them. (yes it made the house stink!

) but they loved it! So just dig deep, there must be something in your cupboard, pantry, freezer or fridge. They will eat just about anything. Good luck. If you have something and you are not sure if its ok, just ask! We will tell you!

They are 20 weeks... 7 of them

I gave them the 1/2 ration of layer pellets, a leftover peanut butter and jelly sandwich, some yogurt, some stale crackers, and the chicken nuggets my son didn't finish the other night.
