Dolly Parton attacked by a bobcat today

Sorry to hear about your chicken. You are so lucky to have saved her. Are you supposed to clean her wounds? We usually recommend cleaning deep wounds with Hibiclens (chlorhexidene) and water twice a day, then applying plain antibiotic ointment and leaving it open to air. Pictures of the wound would be good.

The bactrim antibiotic can be good for skin wounds, but I would given her a tsp of plain Greek yogurt daily for probiotics. Scrambled chopped egg, wet chicken feed, tuna, and sunflower seeds are some good things to offer her. Putting water in the food will get more fluids into her. I usually put food in a small bowl and offer it up to the beak. I hope that she survives, and let us know how she gets along.
