Domestic geese hanging out with wild ones. Update: RESCUE SUCCESS

I hope you update us on how they settle in. Sometimes, Chinese ganders are known to be aggressive and if they're just reaching maturity, they may get cranky. But, if you show them you're the boss, they should be no problem.

Wonderful story!! Thanks for the rescue and sharing it. I love happy endings!

Yay Chicks! :

Well, we did it! There were a few false starts, which led us to believe that it might take a looooong time. But once the geese took the lead, the ganders followed and we were able to corral them in.
Video will be added later, but for now, here is a picture of Hockmangirl (left) and me in front of the successfully caged geese

We have had a bit of posturing from the two Ganders, but they stay pretty far away. It's more fear response than anything. They run away when you get too close. Haven't had any real aggression from them. I was even able to sit down on the floor with them last night. The "lead" Gander with the flock behind, got pretty close with no issue. Just stared at me, like trying to figure me out. Didn't even posture.

I'm prepared for some crankiness when breeding season hits, from what I've read from other Geese people. But then, who could blame them. I get cranky to, at that time of the month!

My Mum was able to get some photo's and a video on her phone, while I was busy cleaning and refilling the pool and feeders. I'll get some really good ones after I can get some batteries for my camera. It died on me this morning, while trying to get more pics. Hence the pics from the phone! Will get them all uploaded in a bit!

Aw!!! Thank you! So sweet of you to say! But I feel like I am the one who is blessed to have the opportunity to know these little Geese. As well as getting to meet Ellen and the other rescuers!

Here is the link to the pics from this morning! I'll get better ones soon, promise!
