I have an African gander and an Embden goose, are they able to produce offspring naturally? If so does any body have a picture of this hybrid, just for a heads up for what the gosling would look like in the spring?

    Thank you for your time

Quote:Any domestic geese can cross, the resulting offspring are just crosses which can also breed and produce offspring.

To get a hybrid you would have to cross a domestic goose with a wild type goose to get a hybrid (sterile) offspring. For example a Canadian bred to an Embden.

Quote:I had no idea that wild geese bred to domesticated geese would produce sterile offspring. Fascinating. Learn something new every day. I guess I can take the rest of the day off.
