I need a Dominique rooster!Wish you lived in WV!I got 5 straight run Dominiques from Cackle hatchery a few weeks back. I assume the ones with the bigger, redder combs are the males, right? Or am I completely off base?

Yeh my dad’s friend said he has Dominique but they are all clearly barred rocks. They have a straight comp, red earlobes, and brown eggs.Be glad you ordered from Cackle! My friend and I split an order of 10 Dominique pullet chicks from Purely Poultry ( me 6 and him 4) and after many weeks of waiting he and I discovered they only sent 6 Dominique pullets. The rest were barred rocks(one barred rock rooster and 3 pullets) Never again!

No they are not. Sex links are cross breeds bred to be sexed at hatch.Dominique chicks are sex linked
