Dominique Thread!

Had two doms hatch out with spraddle leg. I don't understand it. I only have one roo and one hen and all the other eggs from this pair have hatched out normally. It is the same incubator and everything else was the same as the other times. Also, I had eight other chicks of different breeds hatch out along with the two doms that were spraddled and the other eight were normal. What could have caused this?

Do you know of any Dom breeders a little closer to south central OK?
Beautiful bird you won with at Shawnee, BTW.
I might, it depends on what you're looking for: some just to have, some to breed or some to show. What age birds are you wanting?
And thank you, he's well behaved too, which counts for a lot in my book.

I have some doms just to 'have' (McMurray birds)... I would like my kids to get into showing them, though, as well as breeding some. The age of the birds isn't really that important, as I am just getting started anyway and I have a couple of years before my oldest daughter is old enough to show. I really am intrigued with centrarchids quest for a more self-sustaining free ranger, also. I guess the short answer is "I don't know"

A well behaved rooster is a definite plus and any of mine will have to be if they don't want to be dinner!!

I'm afraid I don't sell eggs or chicks, but I know some folks down in the Dallas/FtWorth area who do. That's about as far from Marlow as Bowlegs is, just in the opposite direction.

Hello Everybody, we're new here. We've got 8 Dominique chicks. These are our first chickens. By (mostly) leg color I think we will have 6 pullets and two roos.
