Dominique Thread!

My Dominiques just started laying a few weeks ago. They acted like ladies with a severe case of PMS the few weeks prior, pecking me and such. They now since laying are the sweetest chickens I have. And they lay the most beautiful brown eggs. They are also my quietest chickens which is key as my city isn't keen on byc's!

That is great to hear!

Congrats on your new layers OB33. I'm patiently waiting... again... to start some Dom chicks. I'm hoping that this time the hatchery gets the gender right.

Hey lazy gardener, I'm in NH and we've got fertile Dominique eggs from the breeding pen right now. You could eschew the hatchery altogether if you want. :)

I'm looking for some pullets near tennessee if anyone has any. Thanks!

When do Doms start to lay on average? Ours are 20 weeks old and one only weighs 2.65 pounds while the other one (Sunny) weighs 3.45 lb, and all of the sexlinks weigh about 4.35 pounds.
