Dominique Thread!

There are several breeders in the south! I know of one in Mississippi, Alabama and a few in FL and TX. If you are interested in getting show quality stock, the best thing is to join the DCA and visit shows where they are exhibited. It is only $10 to join. Also, there is a FB page the American Dominique where you can meet some breeders and get lots of advice.

I have located a few, some pricey and some just drive to pick up, all within 3 hrs from me.

That's great! I hope you find what you are looking for. If you are planning on breeding for exhibition, try to find a copy of Mark Fields' book "The American Dominique, a Treatise for the Fancier" the author goes in depth on the history and breeding techniques. Very hard to find information all in one place.

I am no expert but it looks like a pullet to me, but the head spot puts a ? mark in there for me, is the body motled with whitish/ or is it all dark other than the head spot?

I would say he's uniformly dark besides the head spot. What else can I look out for as he grows up, if he's a boy he'll get lighter right?
