@RodNTN -- I hope Linus turns out ok too. It's so hard to re-home or cull a chicken you're attached to. I have 3 little month-and-a-half-old Dom pullets and one is so hyper and am working with her to calm her down - hope it works. They're all people-friendly since I've had visitors play with them and they have no fear of us. In fact, we have to be careful where we step because they weave in-and-out of our feet.
It's rare to see these Doms at rest so had to take this photo before they rushed me:

Just wait until they start problem-solving!Okay nobody told me these chickens are worse than hyperactive puppies. I can't step out the door before Hobo's on my shoulder. This morning she even drank my coffee while I was spaced out waking up. She's the first one I've ever had and I've been told they are freindly and chatty a wee bit clingy but I'm just floored. I love it though, she's like good morning lady, ohhh you brought coffee! Mind if I warm my chicken feet on your shoulder? So absolutely cool.![]()
