Colors can be distinguished if reference available. For giggles, green and blue placed on same bird, left for one and right for other. Then you can tell apart. Red and orange with my markers easy to tell apart. Good lighting helps!

Da, da! The five newest Doms at my place... I think one's for sure a cockerel, maybe another.

Which hatchery? You can use different colored bread ties. Put them on very looselyand check them daily because chicks grow fast and you don't want them to get too tight)>
Glad to hear you're lovin' the peeps.

They are from Meyer hatchery. They just crack me up, they are over the top friendly, even to the point where it seems like they get jealous if I hold someone else! If I hold someone else they sometimes fly up and land on my hand or arm

I will definitely do the colored bread ties - thanks for the suggestion!

Does any one else's Doms, chicks or adults, have bent toes? I've raised a number of chicks and breeds this year and my 6 wk old Dom chicks are developing crooked toes. I've done nothing differently with them in particular. Strangely, the only adult bird I have with crooked toes is a hatchery Dom. Does there tend to be a problem with some of the lines in the breed? I'm stumped.
