Dominique Thread!

So it is true??? This is monumental!! Awesome!!!!

Well deserved. Mike has done a lot to promote Dominiques in recent years. His bloodline is all over the country & he's really been the Dominique standard bearer. Much of the credit for the Dominiques resurgence goes to Mike.

I hope to b getting some Dom hatching eggs from a breeder in Kentucky. I got rid of my bantam doms several months ago, and now that I got my Delaware line going I want to get my Dominiques going.

I agree Mike has done a lot for the breed.
I believe that it was Matt Lhamon that refers to him as the, "King of Dominiques ".

All together Mike took, Champion Turkey with a Narragansett Tom, Champion Large Fowl (The Wilbur Stauffer Award) with a Dominiques Hen and also took Champion Heritage Large Fowl with his Dominiques Hen and Champion Heritage Turkey with the Narragansett Tom.

We had a decent year. Our cockerel won best of breed at the show here in VA this weekend.

Yay! I am glad you are able to get birds from there. How far are they from you? They have very nice bantams. The Dom photo on MyPetChicken is their bird

They're about an hour and a half drive from me, should be easy. Wish me luck, I'm in serious danger of coming home with more chickens than I intended ...
