Who else, after they settled in with their first flock ever, realized the true nature of this statement for flock keepers? I mean counting your chickens is a constant in the chicken world. I'm perpetually counting them. Then my broody hatches some chicks for me and it's always, "Are they all there? How many do I hav..?... one. two. three. four. five. Oh, where's that other one that's always off by itsse- SIX!
