Don't know egg age in incubator

Update:
Alright, after about 5hrs, the chick manged to tear the membrane, taking out a vein. Jumped into action and stopped the bleeding with pressure from a qtip. Since I already had him out, I reapplied the Aquaphor to all visible membrane and since most of it was beginning to dry and had no visible veins I took some more shell off around the edges and gently peeled/stretched the membrane until his head was free and I was able to see the status of the yolk sac. Yolk is almost completely absorbed it looks like. However, I think the chick is blind. It doesn't appear to have developed eyes...when it tries to open it's eyelids, there's nothing but grey, no eyeball. However, it's still breathing and chirping and everything else appears to have developed properly so going to keep trying to assist and see what happens. Plenty of blind animals go on to live just fine is my current rationale.

Edit:
I'm just dumb, chick has eyes. It's inner eye membrane just got stuck on its eyeballs. Dabbed some lubricant on there and after a few minutes it was opening it's eyes. So I was just assuming something had to be wrong with this chick after the hell it has out me through the last few days >.<. Yolk has just the tinniest bit to go to finish absorption. I'm hoping to wake up to a fluffed out and healthy chick because there's nothing left to do. More than enough shell and membrane have been removed so that when it's ready, the chick can push itself out of the remainder.

What a ride! I'd say you've done everything in your power to give a chick that would otherwise not have been able to hatch a fighting chance. Hoping for good news (and pics) today!!!

Thank you for the support, so glad I joined the forum, I just HAD to be able to talk about this hatch with people who get it :).

Chick update: even though I added some water to keep the humidity up, it dropped down to 50% when I woke up and the remaining shell was stuck to the chick, chick was chirping up a storm and flopping around though, so still going! Took out chick, moistened up the shell where it was stuck and it wiggled itself free. I am concerned (again lol) because the yolk doesn't seem to have fully been absorbed. There's no bleeding or oozing, so taking that as a good sign, there's just a bubble at its navel.

Question:
I've read conflicting statements about what do to regarding a navel with yolk that isn't completely absorbed, some say keep it dry, others say moisten with ointment, I could use some suggestions here.

I use one dab of Neosporin, early on, then leave it to dry up. Kinda depends on the size of it, but from what I can tell from the pic, it doesn't look very large. Keep him on something soft and I think you will be surprised how fast it disappears!

Congrats! :clap

Yayyyyyy!!!

Agreed. My last broody hatched one that kicked out of the shell a little early and it's umbilical looked a little gnarly, even bled a bit. I dabbed some triple antibiotic ointment on it and it healed nicely.

This chick is going to be so spoiled, I literally feel like I have given birth because I haven't really slept in the last 4 days thanks to hatch anxiety and my back/neck are killing me from hunching to constantly check on him in the incubator. Dabbed some neosporin on the bubble and around the edges, chick decided it was the perfect time to start trying to stand up and almost fell out of my hand, fighter for sure. Anyhow, has a nice comfy "mattress" of paper towel and is chirping up a storm and trying to stand in the incubator. Probably going to keep him in there until this evening because while I hoped for the best, was expecting the worst and didn't set the brooder up yet. So gotta get on that.
