Not a red cross buff IMO... or it wouldn't be white based.
Always scary to bring new flock members in regardless of price... poultry disease could be present and not yet have presented for their current owners to see. The reason why quarantine for 30 days minimum is recommended... to give things a chance to present if they are going to. Regarding parasites, his feathers look pretty good condition still.
Looks like he might be close to a year old or a tad under... by spur size. Temperament towards humans is key! Have you had any rooster experience before? Did she say how long she has had him for? Or anything about their experience with his demeanor?
How old are your buffs? 4 might not be enough to keep them in good condition and not over mated... so just have their condition on your radar so you can deal with it if need be, should he have favorites or just be too much for them.
