Silver Laced Wyandotte. Probably pullet, how old?

This baby was labeled a black jersey giant when I got her from the feed store in March. I'm thinking she might've been mislabeled. Any ideas?

Well I am kind of excited! I love Wyandottes even though my Gold lace is a little sassy. I got them the third week of March as day olds. Thanks so much for the input! I really appreciate it

Really? Those must be huge weeds! I think they must be mixes but not sure what.

If they came from a hatchery, yes. They always breed sexlinks correctly, hatcheries don't make mistakes with that. Plus, there would be no reason for them to cross those colors otherwise.

The confusion comes when a farmer breeds their sexlinks to each other and then you get males and females marked like that as well as males and females that are mostly white. It only works when you cross pure colors and only if you get the cross correct (you can't, for example, use a silver male with red female or use a female that's genetically white rather than silver).

Aaaaahhhh.... gotcha. You answered a whole bunch of my questions all at once here. It's very nice to have some knowledgeable chicken enthusiasts who are willing to fill in the blanks for me as I'm getting started. I did a lot of reading and preparing before I got the chicks this spring, and I thought I was all up to speed ... but like everything in life, there's a lot to learn.
